Tooling Capabilities

Manufacturing world class quality products begins with world class tooling. Through our own die shop GR Tool & Automation, we produce high quality tools, dies and in-die automated systems.

From Progressive and Transfer Dies, Slide Tooling, Transfer Tools, In-die Welding, Staking and Tapping our team of designers, journeymen die makers and machinists work collaboratively to tackle the most challenging projects.

GRSS is the "GO TO" company for quick turnaround tooling. We have demonstrated time and time again that even the most aggressive timelines are attainable with our World Class Tool Build Process.


We utilize the latest technologies including FEA, Forming Simulation and 3-D parametric design to refine our tool build process. We participate in national tooling roundtables to share best practices with other tool shops around the United States.


In 2006, GR Spring & Stamping began building the first sets of dies ever built in the United States to be run in Nissan's North American Assembly Plants. GRSS was selected from several qualified tooling sources in North America. We are honored to have this opportunity and to be selected from such a strong panel of tool shops throughout North America.

Process Simulation is used to identify weak, fatigued or potential cracks in part. Various tooling methods can be studied before creating hard tooling, therefore saving time and costly changes.
